ammonia oxidation reaction method belonging to the technical field of

effective height of the reactor. Under the action of externally applied 
voltage (optimally, 0.6V 
voltage and less than 5mA current), the 
dissolution of iron in the 
anode is effectively controlled, and the growth of anaerobic ammonia oxidation 
bacteria is promoted. The results of experiment tests show that the 
nitrogen removal efficiency of the anaerobic ammonia oxidation 
bacteria is increased by electrochemical action and 
coupling in a 
biologic treatment process, the removal of 
nitrate nitrogen byproducts in the 
ANAMMOX process is enhanced, and the device has higher 
total nitrogen removal efficiency than reference reactors. The starting time of the 
ANAMMOX technology is shortened, and the 
total nitrogen removal capability of the 
ANAMMOX process is effectively improved.
