A
system and a procedure are provided to simplify the safe transport of a work
machine. During the transport phase of the work
machine, in which it is positioned relative to a transport vehicle, an instantaneous
effective height of the work
machine, for example, relative to the ground surface, is determined. The instantaneous
effective height can be based, for example, on the position of a work tool
assembly, which is determined based on the recorded relative positions of the various components. An intervention state for the transport phase can be determined, at least partially, based on the
effective height of the work machine, for example, by comparing it with a threshold value that may correspond to a possible minimum effective height for this type of machine.Output signals can be automatically generated to perform a predefined intervention in a current transport plan that corresponds to the specific intervention state.
