Some embodiments provide a novel process for ordering items available in a menu or specials at a particular location. In some embodiments, the location can be any one of a table in a restaurant, a lounge, a bar, a hotel room with room service, a seat in a sports arena, and any other location which is served by a business. In some embodiments, the process operates by scanning one of a QR code, a bar code, and an NFC tag available on a designated order scan location. In some embodiments, the designed order scan location is one of a seat, a table, and a hotel room placard or sticker. In some embodiments, the process is implemented as a software application that runs on a mobile computing device. In some embodiments, the software application is downloaded if not previously available on the mobile computing device and that locations menu is opened by identifying the location from the scanned code and is tailored based on time of day or further customized to users language preference or their dietary requirements.

The present invention provides a method and means for activating and controlling the display of decals, stickers, labels, placards, automatic toll paying devices, or similar items through the use of actuating decal plates that may be programmed to be exposed dependent on a motor vehicle's operating status, or at the discretion of the motor vehicle operator. The motor vehicle decal display system will comprise single or multiple decal display plates, decal display plate housing(s), and button(s), switch(es) or other means of manual or sensate activation, whereby decals may be displayed depending on the nature of the vehicles operation, or the commands of the operator.

Hidden in use, the system docking device is a pendant construction to be mounted on button threads behind a garment placard. A method of labeling reusable containers is disclosed. A placard having a release coating on one side is adhesively secured to the container. The placard is transparent with instructional printing applied to one surface. Pressure-sensitive labels are placed on the exposed surface of the placard. A security device for identifying a person makes two images of a person to detect spoofing. The first image is a conventional visible image and the second image is an infrared image. Both images are analyzed to determine whether they represent a real person or not. If a placard or active display device is presented to the security device to spoof the real person, the infrared image of the placard or display device is recognized not to have the same characteristics as the infrared image of a real person.
