A modular vehicle comprises a preassembled undercarriage module, a preassembled overcarriage module, and coupling means for releasably coupling the overcarriage module to the undercarriage module. Each of the frame structures of reinforcing slats has a surface area that is smaller than the surface area of each of the skins.
