Buoy holder for fish culling

A culling buoy holder that includes multiple tubes laid side by side in a parallel fashion and affixed to a mounting structure or to each other. The tubes are sized in length and diameter such that a culling buoy may be inserted down through the bore of a tube, with a float first orientation, until the float dangles below the lower open end of the tube. Further, while tube bore sizes are large enough to permit the passing of a buoy float, they are small enough that the clipping apparatus comprising the opposite end of the buoy cannot pass. Advantageously, each buoy, once inserted through an individual tube of the buoy holder, is effectively separated from other buoys as it securely hangs in its individual tube.

Stringer Spike Sheath

A spring-loaded receptacle designed to accept and reversibly link a stringer spike to an angler or watercraft to collect and combine fish. The sheath is a dual lumen device comprised of an outer tubular shell, a vertically movable, hollow inner stem, and a helical spring about the lower portion of the inner stem. The inner stem manifests three holes drilled at 120 degrees from one another and beads placed in these holes for engaging and securing the spike. A conically shaped bead deflector skirts the inner stem, surrounds the bead system, and exhibits a widening circumference as it descends into the outer shell. Spike insertion is accomplished by depressing the stem, compressing the spring, and allowing bead movement downward and outward away from the sheath center. The beads grip the spike when the stem is released, the spring expands, and the beads move into the bead deflector's tapered angle.

Snapping Fish Stringer

A fish stringer has a locking body that receives an insert, with a loop being formed by means of a cable which is connected to the locking body at a first end and the insert at a second end. To allow the insert to be coupled with the locking body, an insert-receiving cavity traverses into the locking body, creating a receptacle for the insert. The insert has a handle portion that allows the insert to be manipulated even when a tongue portion is within the insert-receiving cavity. A latching mechanism on the insert engages a latch receptacle on the locking body to secure the insert to the locking body. The latching mechanism is a flexible arm with a tab at one end, the flexible arm being deformed from an equilibrium position as the tongue slides into the insert-receiving cavity until the tab becomes aligned and engaged with the latch receptacle.

Circular fish stringer

A fish stringer is provided with a circular frame, made of cast aluminum, approximately six inches in diameter, that forms the main component of the invention. A round, center handle provides a comfortable, easy way to carry the invention along with the catch of fish. A series of eight chain and hook assemblies with swivel joints, are evenly spaced around the perimeter of the frame and are made of brass and stainless steel. The spacing provides a means to separate the fish while they are stored in the water or being carried. A vinyl coated chain, approximately six feet in length, is attached to the main frame, and is provided with a clasp and swivel joint, to allow the invention to be attached to the side of a boat or dock. The long chain assures the fish will be kept in the water even during rough or choppy conditions, and is red in color for easy locating.

The quick connector receptacle, and its' machined counterpart, is designed to (simplify and hasten) the removal and replacement process of a fish stringer from its' affixed position. The process of securing a fisher-persons' bounty was addressed for specifically the intentions of making said process less of a task. Many variables can at times and under certain conditions, make said process complicated. The connector receptacle is affixed to the fisher-person and its' machined counterpart is disengaged and engaged to form an assemblage that holds said stringer in place until called upon for use again. In conjunction with the need of high quality materials to withstand the elements, particular interest was paid to all aspects of the system to make it durable. With much field-testing and some limited exposure, we believe it to be superior to the conventional stringer system. There appears to be a need for such a fish stringer system. With the particular parts and processes mentioned throughout this applications, said system will fulfill this need and prove to be a reliable system for the intended task.

Fishing stringer with multiple integral fishing tools

A fishing stringer is structured with multiple fishing related tools integrated into a tether and an elongated member of the stringer. Specifically, the elongated member acts as a standard retention bar, while also providing a hook disgorger tool at a first end, and a fishing line cutting tool at a second end. Similarly, the tether acts as a normal stringer' tether, while also incorporating a measuring capability along a substantial length of the tether. Once the tether and stringer are deployed, each of the integrated tools, including the line cutter, the disgorger, and the measuring tape, are also thereby fully available for convenient and immediate use—without any risk of being dropped and lost. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope and meaning of the claims.

Shark Repellent System

ActiveUS20190059343A1StringersShark screensEngineeringBuoyancy
A rod for repelling sharks is disclosed. Magnets are connected to the rod along its length. If necessary, the rod may be extended. Additionally, one or more flotation devices may be connected to the rod to manipulate or adjust the buoyancy of the system, depending on the user's objective(s). The rod is connected to a fishing line once a fish is hooked and is in close proximity to the boat or other structure from which the fisherman is fishing. The weight of the rod and magnets cause the rod to slide down to the end of the fishing line, where the rod will come in contact with the hooked mouth of the fish. As the fish struggles during the fight, the rod creates a protective magnetic field around the fish to deter sharks from engaging the fish.

Fish stringer assembly

A stringer assembly for the safe storage of fish caught by a fisherman includes a stringer line having a needle, a floatation device, and a holder. The stringer assembly is configured to prevent the pushing of slack in the line in a manner to dislodge the stringer line. Additionally, the stringer line is secured without clamping or tying of the stringer line. The holder is releasably coupled to a water vessel through an attachment device configured to prevent twisting of the stringer line. The needle is inserted into a portion of the holder and the stringer line is routed under a flange of the holder in a manner that binds or wedges the stringer line to the holder and prevents removal of the needle from within the holder. Because no fasteners are needed, a fisherman is capable of operating the assembly with a single hand.
