The Bacillus cereus DS1 is collected at China Center for Type Culture Collection, and the collection number is CCTCC NO:M2010145. The Bacillus cereus DS1 has high growing capability and favorable capability of removing organic pollutants in saponin waste water in the presence of high-concentration sulfate ions. The strain can remove COD (chemical oxygen demand) in saponin waste water by 2550 mg / L within 72 hours, and the removal efficiency is up to 60.14%.
