Abstract

The invention discloses a pneumoelectric coupling ion focusing device. According to the pneumoelectric coupling ion focusing device, the Venturi and Konda effects are utilized, and the ionization effect and transmission efficiency of spray ions before entering a mass spectrometer feed interface under atmospheric pressure can be effectively improved. According to the front half part of the device, an embedded device comprising an inlet and a main body portion are combined with each other, such that a tapered slit which is communicated with a gas chamber can be formed. Nitrogen is fed at an air inlet, such that the annular air chamber can be filled with high pressure gas, and then, the gas is evenly blown out from the tapered slit, and therefore, high-speed airflow can be formed at an ion funnel and an outlet, it is just the small part of the high-speed nitrogen that drives the movement of gas which is around a pipeline and contains target ions. A series of electrode plates are arranged to form the ion funnel, and the inner diameter of the electrode plates is gradually reduced along the direction of the outlet, and at the same time, DC and RF voltage is applied on the electrode plates. In a test, gas-phase ions can be aggregated through the combination of gas dynamics and an electric field force effect.
