The compound fertilizer contains 50-90wt% of potassium nitrate and magnesium nitrate in total and 10-50wt% of crystal water, wherein the mass ratio of potassium nitrate to magnesium nitrate is (15-0.2):1. Compared with the prior art, the potassium-magnesium nitrate double-salt type compound fertilizer and the preparation method of the compound fertilizer have the following beneficial effects: (1) the potassium-magnesium nitrate double-salt type compound fertilizer is far better in dispersibility and anti-caking performance than a compound fertilizer product obtained via mixing and mechanical pressing granulation, and the caking time of the compound fertilizer is over 30 days, so that great convenience is brought for the use of the compound fertilizer; (2) compared with the technology that intermittent crystallization is performed firstly and then mechanical mixing and granulation are performed, the preparation method is lower in cost and suitable to continuous large-batch production, so that convenient conditions are provided for the automation of technology control.
