Abstract

The invention provides a method for treating fluoride-containing wastewater of lead and zinc smelting by using cerium dioxide prepared by a dual-template method. A cerium modified material can be obtained by adding an organic template into an alga template and performing the processes of impregnation, cerium modification and calcination. The cerium modified material has the characteristics of high activity, short reaction time, stable performance and very high adsorption property to fluorine ions. For a water body of which the fluoride content is more than 700ppm, when the added amount of the cerium modified material is 2-4g / L, the fluorine ion removal rate can reach 75-95%; and the cerium modified material hardly has adsorptive capacity to other cations including magnesium ions, zinc ions, iron ions, copper ions and the like in the water body, and is relatively good in cation selectivity. At presence, the fact that a material prepared by using two templates, namely a biological template and an organic template is used for removing fluorine has not been reported by documents. The material can be applied to removal of fluorine ions in various industrial sewages, wet method smelting circulating water and production wastewater.
