Abstract

The invention discloses an as-cast high-strength ductile iron and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises: 1) preheating steel scrap and foundry returns at the temperature 1050-1150 degrees centigrade; 2) fusing the preheated raw material at the temperature 1500-1550 degrees centigrade to obtain molten iron; 3) adding rare-earth nodularizer and inoculant into the molten iron and stirring to obtain inoculated molten iron; 4) adding stream inoculant into the inoculated molten iron and casting to obtain as-cast high-strength ductile iron, wherein the rare-earth nodularizer contains rare earth element, magnesium, calcium, barium, silicon, iron and impurity elements; the inoculant contains silicon, aluminum, barium, carbon and impurity elements; the stream inoculant contains silicon, aluminum, bismuth, carbon and impurity elements.
