The invention relates to peach blossom extract and an application thereof and particularly relates to an application of peach blossom extract in inhibiting hyaluronidase activity. The peach blossom extract is a solid product which is light yellow or rose red to dark red and is prepared through carrying out ultrasonic extraction on peach blossom through water or a hydrophilic solvent and an aqueoussolution and carrying out reduced pressure concentration distillation drying. The peach blossom extract can be processed into various preparations. In order to verify the effect of the peach blossomextract on the activity of hyaluronidase, the hyaluronidase and peach blossom extract form a reaction system, the absorption value at 400nm of the reaction system is determined, and according to the absorption values of the sample and control, the inhibition ratio of the peach blossom extract to the hyaluronidase is calculated. The result shows that the peach blossom extract has the significant inhibitory effect on the activity of hyaluronidase and the inhibitory effect is increased along with increasing of the application dose. The peach blossom extract has a good concentration-dependent effect and has a semi-suppressed dose (IC50) to the hyaluronidase activity of 0.25 mg/mL.
