Abstract

The invention provides a method for extracting hydroxytyrosol from syringa oblata. By means of hydrolytic in-situ extraction, ester bonds in oleuropein can be hydrolyzed totally and transformed into free hydroxytyrosol, so that content of hydroxytyrosol in extract liquor is increased, wherein OH-ion exchange resin serves as a catalyst to promote hydrolysis of oleuropein, and a chlorinated solventserves as an extracting agent to extract free hydroxytyrosol. Therefore, in the hydrolytic in-situ extraction process, hydrolysis of oleuropein and extraction of free hydroxytyrosol are completed simultaneously. Meanwhile, with adoption of the hydrolytic in-situ extraction, complicated two steps of operation for hydrolysis and extraction are avoided effectively, operation procedures and solvent dosage are reduced, production cost is low, and yield of hydroxytyrosol is high.
