Abstract

The invention provides a cationic dye dyeing method for cotton fabrics. The method comprises the following steps: firstly using a sulfuric acid solution to pretreat the cotton fabric, then using pyridine sulfur trioxide as a sulfonating agent, and sulfonating the cotton fabrics to improve the electronegativity of the cotton fabrics; then using ethylene glycol monoacetate as an acid-releasing agent, and using a cationic dye to dye the modified cotton fabrics. The dyed fabrics are little in strength damage, high in leveling property and excellent in color fastness.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of textiles, in particular to a method for dyeing cotton fabrics with cationic dyes. Background technique [0002] Cotton fabric has many advantages such as softness, breathability, good moisture absorption and warmth retention, and is very popular among people. Reactive dyes are the main dyes for cotton fabric printing and dyeing, with the advantages of bright color, complete color spectrum, low cost and excellent fastness. During the dyeing process of cotton fabrics with reactive dyes, there is electrostatic repulsion between dyes and cotton fibers, resulting in low dye uptake. In order to promote the dyeing of cotton fibers by reactive dyes, a large amount of neutral electrolyte needs to be added during the dyeing process, which will lead to a large amount of neutral electrolyte in the dyeing wastewater. In order to reduce the use of neutral electrolytes in the dyeing process, cationic modification of c...
