Microwave garment for heating and/or monitoring tissue

A flexible microwave applicator and method of use thereof. The applicator includes a flexible, dielectric-containing compartment (e.g. temperature regulated water or oil) having a variable contour, tissue-engaging surface and an opposite non-tissue-engaging surface and an antenna array adjacent to a non-tissue-engaging surface. The antenna array includes at least one flexible printed circuit board having a front metal surface, a dielectric substrate, a back metal surface, a connection structure for connecting the antenna array to at least one external microwave device, at least one dual concentric conductor aperture on the front surface, and at least one microstrip feedline in communication with the dual concentric conductor aperture and the connection structure. The microwave applicator also includes flexible attachment material for placement over the antenna array and dielectric compartment to allow the microwave applicator to be attached to a subject like a garment which closely conforms to the anatomy portion to be heated. The flexible attachment material may be configured such that the microwave applicator is configured as an appropriately-shaped type of garment, for example, a vest, jacket, cap, hood, blanket, custom shaped conformal wrap, sleeve, or as a pair of shorts.

Light-transmitting and/or coated article with removable protective coating and methods of making the same

A method and coating are provided for temporarily protecting a substrate or article during shipping, handling or storage by applying a removable protective coating over at least a portion of the substrate. The substrate may be flat or curved and may have zero, one or more functional coatings. A plurality of substrates with the protective coating of the invention may be arranged in a shipping container so that the protective coating reduces the possibility of damage to the substrate or optional functional coating. In one embodiment, the protective coating is the evaporation or reaction product of an aqueous coating composition containing a polyvinyl alcohol polymer which may be subsequently removed by aqueous washing, thermal decomposition or combustion. In another embodiment, the protective coating is formed by sputtering a substantially carbon coating onto the substrate. The carbon coating is subsequently removed by combustion. The protective coating may have identification materials, such as colorants or fragrance materials, such that different types of substrates and/or functional coatings can be distinguished from each other. Additionally, the temporary protective coating can improve the heating of a functionally coated glass substrate.

Self-made heat conductor and heating equipment into which insulating heat conduction material is embedded and implementation method of self-made heat conductor and heating equipment

The invention discloses a self-made heat conductor and heating equipment into which an insulating heat conduction material is embedded and an implementation method of the self-made heat conductor andthe heating equipment. The self-made heat conductor is of a coaxial cable structure, and comprises an outer conductor, the insulating heat conduction material and an inner conductor. The insulating heat conduction material is good in heat conduction and has an insulating capability. The insulating heat conduction material surrounds the outer side of the inner conductor to completely surround the periphery of the inner conductor, so that the inner conductor and the outer conductor are completely isolated from each other. The heating equipment has the two types of sending-end heating equipment and receiving-end heating equipment. The sending-end heating equipment applies alternating current or direct current between the outer conductor and the inner conductor of the self-made heat conductorthrough an output power supply of an anti-icing and de-icing power transmission device to achieve the anti-icing and de-icing purpose, and the receiving-end heating equipment is connected with a loadthrough a receiving-end steel core to achieve the anti-icing and de-icing work. By means of the self-made heat conductor and heating equipment into which the insulating heat conduction material is embedded and the implementation method of the self-made heat conductor and the heating equipment, heating of steel core resistors of the self-made heat conductor and the heating equipment themselves is effectively utilized, the cost is low, and the effect is good. Under the control of a control center, the anti-icing and de-icing work is implemented and can be implemented online when a high voltage transmission line works, and the safety of electric equipment is guaranteed.

Method of using active persulphate for processing difficult-biodegradability organic waste water

The invention relates to a method of using active persulphate for processing difficult-biodegradability organic waste water, which is characterized in that persulphate is firstly thrown into a reaction container containing organic waste water, after mixing and dissolving, the mixture is placed into a microwave generator with the frequency of 2450 MHz and the power of 800 W to be radiated for several minutes to be completed, wherein the biodegradability index BOD5 / COD of the organic waste water is lower than 0.2, and the mol ratio of the throwing amount of the persulphate and the organic matter in the organic waste water is 10:1 to 50:1. The persulphate includes peroxy-monosulphate and peroxydisulphate. To improve the degrading efficiency of the organic waste water, before using the microwave active persulphate for processing the difficult-biodegradability organic waste water, a catalyst is added, wherein the ratio of the weight of the catalyst and the volume of the organic waste water is 0.1 to 1, and the added catalyst is active carbon, and the like. The invention has the characteristics of short processing time, no secondary pollution and small occupied land area of the equipment, and can obtain an excellent processing effect on the difficult-biodegradability organic waste water.
