Some embodiments provide a method of color correcting an image. Some such embodiments provide (1) a display area for displaying a modifiable graph correlating a first color attribute of the image to a set of second color attributes and (2) at least one tool that adjusts the graph in order to adjust color attributes in the image. The graph adjustment tool of some embodiments is a set of control points that specify the color correction adjustment over a parameterized curve representation of the graph. In some embodiments, the graphs are rasterized curves that are adjusted through the use of a Gaussian manipulator. The Gaussian manipulator distributes a second color attribute adjustment over a set of first color attribute values according to a Gaussian distribution. Moreover, some embodiments allow for the selective switching between the parameterized and rasterized curves or the control points and the Gaussian manipulator.

If in page accesses are sufficient the memory array precharge may be hidden and writes can occur utilizing write back or write through caching. In alternative embodiments, the non-volatile memory array may comprise electrically erasable read only memory ("EEPROM") or Flash memory in conjunction with an SRAM cache or a ferroelectric random access memory based cache which has symmetric read / write times and faster write times than either EEPROM or Flash memory.

Method for nickel and cobalt recovery from laterite ores by combination of atmospheric and moderate pressure leaching

A process for leaching laterite ores containing limonite and saprolite. Sufficient mineral acid is added to a slurry of limonite which is leached at atmospheric pressure to dissolve most of the soluble non-ferrous metals and soluble iron. After adding saprolite the slurry is further leached at a temperature above the normal boiling point and at a pressure above atmospheric pressure for a time sufficient to leach most of the contained nickel in the saprolite and to precipitate most of the iron in solution. The pressure of the slurry is then reduced, and nickel and / or cobalt is subsequently recovered from the leach solution by solvent extraction, resin-in-pulp or other ion exchange, sulfide or hydroxide precipitation, or other recovery method.

A chromatographic packing is disposed in the second tube with a first and second support layer disposed on opposite ends of the second tube. The support layers are disposed in a substantially flat orientation within the tube. An external coupling joins the tubes such that the tubes are fluidically sealed. The device is configured to have a fluidic resistance such that a pressure differential across the column of less than about 10 psi produces a flow rate through the device of at least about 0.5 ml / min for a liquid solution.

The preparation method is characterized in that phytic acid, melamine and a solvent are prepared, the substance amount ratio of the phytic acid to the melamine is 1: 3 to 1: 15, and 20-50 ml of the solvent is added into every 0.01 mol of the melamine; the melamine is added into a reaction container provided with a thermometer and a stirrer, the solvent is added with stirring, the phytic acid is added at the temperature of 20-40 DEG C, and a reaction is conducted with stirring for 20-50 minutes, so that reaction liquid is obtained; and the reaction liquid is poured into a reaction still to react for 24-56 h at the temperature of 70-120 DEG C, cooling and suction filtration are conducted, solid is washed with ethyl alcohol and then washed with water till the pH is 7, and the solid is dried, so that the flame retardant is obtained. The preparation method is simple and environmentally friendly, and the synthesized phosphorus-nitrogen-carbon-containing aggregate and intumescent flame retardant of the nano-sheet structure has good compatibility with a polymer matrix and has good flame retardance.

After multiple repetitions of this procedure a three-dimensional ceramic part or cermet part can be fabricated layer upon layer. The green portion, which is not scanned by the high-energy beam, can be removed with suitable methods, such as submerged in water or sodium hydroxide water solution, due to disparate characteristics of scanned and unscanned portions. A ceramic part or a cermet part can be rapidly produced in this way.
