The cotton-like polyester fiber is prepared from 86.6-96wt% of hydrophilic polyester masterbatch, 1.0-5.0wt% of TiO2 masterbatch, 2.0-4.0wt% of amolecular weight regulator, 0.3-2.0wt% of an antioxidant, 0.5-1.5wt% of a lubricant and 0.2-0.9wt% of a wear-resistant agent. A spinning process is simple, and by adoption of the hydrophilic polyester masterbatch and the molecular weight regulator, the prepared cotton-like polyester fiber is quick in moisture absorption, delivery, diffusion and volatilization and capable of quickly absorbing moisture and sweat on the surface of skin and discharging to the outer layer; since part of body heat is taken away by high evaporation of sweat, the temperature drops, and a user can feel cool; the fiberhas great moisture absorption and water absorption performances and is excellent in hygroscopicity and liquid water hydroscopicity. The cotton-like polyester fiber is long in service life and high inwash fastness and has advantages of soft gloss in visual effect, novelty, fashionableness and easiness in caring.
