The method comprises the following steps: reacting a long-chain fatty alcohol with epoxy chloropropane to generate 1, 3-dialkoxy-2-propanol (I), carrying out addition reaction of 1, 3-dialkoxy-2-propanol (I), epoxypropane and ethylene oxide in sequence to generate dialkoxy glyceryl ether polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene ether (II), and carrying out carboxymethylation on the dialkoxy glyceryl ether polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropyleneether (II) by using chloroacetic acid to obtain the dialkoxy glyceryl ether polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene ether carboxylate surfactant. The surfactant prepared by the method has good dissolving performance, interface performance, emulsifying performance and oil displacement effect under low-alkalinity or alkali-free conditions.
