Abstract

The invention discloses a broadband microwave spectrometer based on a multi-pulse free induction attenuation technology. The spectrometer comprises a broadband electromagnetic wave radiation source, a sample vacuum chamber and a molecular rotation spectrum signal detection system, wherein thebroadband electromagnetic wave radiation source is used for generating a plurality of chirped pulse signals and single-frequency microwave signals, carrying out the frequency mixing of the two types of signals, and carrying out the up-conversion of the two types of signals to a target frequency band, and thus, generating a plurality of microwave excitation pulses and outputting themicrowave excitation pulses to the sample vacuum chamber; the sample vacuum chamber is used for providing a space, and a plurality of microwave excitation pulses are used for carrying out microwave excitation on the to-be-detected sample gas molecular beam which is sprayed out once for multiple times in the space to generate a plurality of free induction attenuation signals; and the molecular rotation spectrum signal detection system is used for receiving a signal obtained by mixing the plurality of free induction attenuation signals and the single-frequency microwave signal and carrying out down-conversion to fundamental frequency, and obtaining the rotation spectrum of the molecular beam of the to-be-detected sample gas from the signal.
