The preparation method comprises the following steps: reacting materials at 300-700 DEG C for 2-24 hours to obtain different-dimension oriented carbon materials; wherein the material is a substance a; or the material is a mixed solution comprising a substance a and a substance b; the substance a comprises resin, an alcohol compound, an ether compound or a carbohydrate compound; and the substance b comprises at least one of water, dry ice and ice. According to the invention, the resin, the alcohol compound, the ether compound or the carbohydrate compound is used as a carbon source, the pH value is adjusted by using acid or alkali, and carbon microspheres, carbon nanorods and carbon nanofibers are prepared in a supercritical body of water or carbon dioxide for the first time. The method provided by the invention has the characteristics of controllable reaction and simple process, and the prepared carbon material shows obvious orientation and good reproducibility, and shows excellent performance as an electrochemical energy storage material.
