Abstract

The invention discloses synthesis of a hyperbranched polyquaternium amino acid intercalation inhibitor and a water-based drilling fluid. The hyperbranched polyquaternary ammonium salt amino acid intercalation inhibitor is prepared by mixing hyperbranched polyquaternary ammonium salt amino acid and water, wherein the mass ratio of the hyperbranched polyquaternary ammonium salt amino acid in the drilling fluid is 0.5%-5%. Synthetic raw materials of the hyperbranched polyquaternary ammonium salt amino acid are carboxylic acid substances containing multiple amino groups and crotonic acid alkenyl ester substances, and an end capping reagent is one of allyltrimethylammonium and allyltriethylammonium. The drilling fluid comprises the hyperbranched polyquaternary ammonium salt amino acid provided by the invention. The drilling fluid can effectively inhibit shale hydration expansion.
