Abstract

The invention provides application of a TRPS1 enhancer or inhibitor in preparation of a medicine for treating pigmented skin diseases. Experimental results show that the content of melanin is obviously increased or reduced after TRPS1 expression is over-expressed or inhibited in melanocytes, and the expression levels of melanin synthesis key genes MITF, TYR, TYRP1 and TYRP2 are also obviously increased or reduced; the TRPS1 protein is highly expressed in pigmented nevus with high melanin content. The research result shows that the TRPS1 is a potential treatment target for regulating and controlling melanin synthesis, and the enhancer or inhibitor for regulating and controlling the expression level of the TRPS1 is a potential novel method for treating pigmented skin diseases.
