Flow limitation. (Redirected from Flow Limitation) Flow limitation may be inspiratory (during inhale) or expiratory (during exhale). It refers to any condition which impares the flow-rate of air through the respiratory tract.

Pressure regulating flow controller

ActiveCN116382391BVolume flow proportion measurementVolume meteringFlow limitationControl theory
An apparatus for controlling a flow rate of a gas is disclosed herein, including a flow restriction element configured to restrict a flow rate of a gas; a pressure regulator coupled to an inlet of the flow restriction element, wherein the pressure regulator is configured to control a pressure of the gas between the pressure regulator and the flow restriction element; a flow meter coupled to an outlet of the flow restriction element, wherein the flow meter is configured to measure the flow rate of the gas at the outlet of the flow restriction element; and a controller operatively coupled to the pressure regulator and the flow meter, wherein the controller receives the flow rate measurement of the flow meter, determines a pressure setting associated with a target flow rate, and causes the pressure regulator to have the pressure setting.

Systems, devices, and methods for controllably enhancing diuretic effect

PendingCN122374063ADiuresisFlow limitation
This application discloses various systems, devices, components, and methods for controllably and selectively occluding, restricting, and / or shunting blood flow within a patient's vascular system. The flow restriction system may include an implant with a flow restrictor and an implantable controller with an actuator for actuating the flow restrictor. The implant may be separable from its respective controller and actuator. The implant may include a dual-frame configuration to prevent tissue growth into at least one frame.

Leadless systems, devices, and methods for controllably enhanced diuresis

Provided is a leadless flow restriction system, which comprises an intravascular housing, a control unit and a flow restrictor assembly. An actuator configured to rotate a first shaft and a driving element connected with one end of the first shaft are encapsulated in the intravascular housing. The control unit is arranged in the intravascular housing or connected with the intravascular housing and the actuator. The flow restrictor assembly comprises an inflatable body, a flow restrictor and a transmission shaft assembly. In use, the activation of the actuator causes the transmission shaft in the transmission shaft assembly to rotate or move linearly, so that the flow restrictor adjustably blocks the inner cavity.

Hemodialysis device

PCT designated stageWO2026105623A1Dialysis systemsHemodialysis careFlow limitation
In the present invention, hemodialysis is continued even if a flow restricting means is blocked. The present invention relates to a hemodialysis device (1) in which a first flow rate restricting means (MV1) is provided in a dialysate supply passage (14), a second flow rate restricting means (MV2) is provided in a replacement fluid passage (5), and first and second dialysate filters (21, 22) are provided in the dialysate supply passage (14). Provided is a bypass passage (second flushing passage (24), bypass passage (32)) that communicates the branching position between the first dialysate filter (21) and the replacement fluid passage (5) in the dialysate supply passage (14) with the first flow rate restricting means (MV1) and a dialyzer (2), and a bypass on-off valve (tenth on-off valve (V10), supply fluid connection valve (V14)) that opens and closes the bypass passage, and if an abnormality occurs in either the first flow rate restricting means (MV1) or the second flow rate restricting means (MV2), the bypass on-off valve is opened to supply dialysate to the dialyzer (2) through the bypass passage.

A flow restrictor includes a flexible tube held in a housing and a linear actuator connected through an intermediate link to a distal link via a first revolute joint proximate the linear actuator and a second revolute joint connecting the intermediate and distal links. The distal link has a distal end adjacent the flexible tube and the intermediate and distal links are constrained to move such that when the linear actuator moves the first revolute joint toward the linear actuator, the distal end of the distal link is driven into the side of the tube thereby progressively occluding the flexible tube.
