A method for suture lacing includes providing a suture with a needle attached thereto, inserting the needle and suture into an organ through a passageway, throwing a single stitch through a first tissue member, throwing a single stitch through an opposed and spaced apart second tissue member, repeating the preceding step at least once, bringing the first and second tissue members in contact by tensioning the suture, whereby suture drag is minimized during the tensioning and even tissue compression substantially achieved, and securing the suture.

A self tying shoe wherein the weight of a user who, upon sliding his foot inside the shoe will depress a hingedly movable inner sole which actuates a mechanism which pulls on the laces so as to close in the tongue of the shoe towards the user's foot, thus lacing the shoe. The user can simply pump the inner sole or walk a couple of steps to accomplish the lacing of the shoes. Using his other foot, the user can move a knob in either one of two positions, one being for tying and the other being for untying the shoe. The present invention is directed to a protective sports helmet that includes a chin strap system that allows for rapid, one-handed adjustment of a chin strap assembly by the player while he/she is wearing the helmet. The chin strap assembly includes a protective chin cup and a pair of straps extending from opposed sides of the chin cup and having a plurality of securing elements. The assembly also includes a pair of adjustable connectors affixed to the helmet and that include a central opening that receives an extent of the strap and a lever that engages a portion of the securing elements. The adjustable connector allows movement of the strap in a first direction, and prevents movement of the strap in a second direction when the lever is engaged with at least one of the securing elements. The adjustable connector allows movement of the strap in both the first and second directions when the lever is not engaged with the securing elements.

The firearm support device includes one or more “beanbags” directly mounted to a rifle stock that can be moved between a secured transportation position held against the stock and a support position suspended beneath the stock. The support device includes a stock attachment and one or more beanbags pivotally connected to the stock attachment. The stock attachment includes cinch and stirrup straps that secure the support devices to the stock and prevent it from inadvertently sliding up the stock. The bean bags are constructed of cloth pouches filled with a granular substance. The beanbags are sewn directly to the cinch strap or connected to the cinch strap by a slide buckle that rides along a rail strap sewn to a beanbag. The beanbags are securely held against the sides of the rifle stock in the transportation position by elastic cords, buckles, snaps, hook and loop fastening patches or other connection mechanisms.

The present invention provides a wraparound lacing system for use in all manner of footwear. The lacing system includes a lace which encircles the upper and midsole of the article of footwear in a spiral, helical, coiled or similar wound wraparound pattern. The upper includes finger members which independently adjust to the contours of the wearer's foot while providing a snug and secure fit. The upper and midsole are integrally formed as a unitary structure. The housing of the upper and the midsole includes channels therein which receive the wraparound lace. The lace can be affixed at one or both ends to the midsole or to the upper. Removable lace end keepers on the upper permit the user to adjust the length of the lace.

The present invention provides a wraparound lacing system for use with footwear. A lacing system having a lace loop that forms multiple segments that extend from a strap and criss-cross each other in an adjustable opening. The lace is threaded through eyelets of a sneaker, in such a manner that, a single arcuate pull on the strap(s), causes the multiple lace segments to move through the eyelets of the sneaker opening in unison, so that the entire length of the opening contracts simultaneously. This pull also lifts the entire arch area, thus providing better support. The lace segments converge at the strap(s), near the ankle, thus providing better support at the ankle. Additional lace segments could be disposed above the arch to provide better arch support. A hospital gown comprises first and second panels which are releasably secured along an edge region of each panel to one another by a plurality of spaced apart tie ups. Each tie up comprises a pair of tie strings on the first panel and a loop on the second panel. A harness clamp tie includes a locking head and a flexible strap extending outwardly from the locking head. The strap is insertable through the locking head to form a loop that can be used at least one item. A pawl in the locking head secures the strap. Nonslip rails formed along the outer edge of the strap face and clamping rails formed on the locking head aid in securing small items. Conic friction points are formed on both sides of the strap surface to provide a mechanical grip for pulling the strap through the locking head. An infant carrying apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a main panel having an upper end portion, a lower end portion and a pair of opposing side portions. Disclosed herein is a shoelace tightening device for making it easier for the wearer to tie shoelaces of shoelace-type shoes, including sports shoes. The shoelace tightening structure comprises a tightening lace, a pair of locking devices, and a shoelace. The tightening lace is successively threaded upward at both ends thereof through first and second row loops arranged in parallel along eyelet lines defined at left and right vamps of a shoe. The locking devices are fixed at opposite side positions above the eyelet lines. Through the locking devices are inserted both the ends of the tightening lace, respectively. The shoelace is tied on the tightening lace as both ends thereof alternately pass through portions of the tightening lace between the respective first row loops, and portions of the tightening lace between the respective second row loops so as to crisscross each other. The shoelace tightening structure of the present invention enables the wearer can easily tighten the shoe to conform closely with the shape of his/her foot by simply pulling the tightening lace, as well as can easily take off the shoe by pushing release buttons of the locking devices to loosen the tightening lace.

The invention is an ankle derotation and subtalar stabilization system that incorporates a pivoting adjustable-tension oblique tether strap that is anchored to both a forefoot component and leg component, and that is contiguous with pivoting adjustable-tension derotation strap that passes behind the leg and that is secured to a leg component. The system restrains oppositely directed rotation between the foot and the leg, and can actually after the normal biochemical relationship in a manner that produces foot rotation in a direction opposite to that which is normally coupled with leg rotation, without restriction of upward and downward foot movement. The primary application for the system is restraint of excessive subtalar joint inversion, leg external rotation, and anterolateral rotary displacement of the talus, but it can also be configured to restrain subtalar eversion and leg internal rotation through its incorporation into the structure of an ankle orthosis or shoe.
