Tools for providing bill aggregation and/or payment services. In an aspect, such tools aggregate all payments over a given period of time, allowing a user to make a single payment to ensure that all appropriate bills are paid in timely fashion. In another aspect, the tools determine, without requiring user input, an amount due on each bill, as well, in some cases, of a due date for each payment. Optionally, the tools can provide a consolidated statement to inform the user of payments to be made over a given period. Such statements can provide a varying level of detail, depending on the implementation and/or on user preferences. In some cases, a consolidated statement might provide line items and/or detailed support for each payment to be made. In other cases, the consolidated statement might simply provide a single consolidated payment amount.

A fulfillment management system includes a database operable to store product availability information associated with at least one product. The fulfillment management system also includes one or more processors collectively operable to receive at least one component available-to-promise (ATP) request. Each component ATP request corresponds to a particular ATP request line-item for a desired product. A method and apparatus for validating, correcting and reconciling purchase orders. In one embodiment, each line item of the purchase order is validated to ensure that it corresponds to an item offered by the supplier. Each line item can be compared to known errors and the erroneous part number replaced with a correct part number. Line items can be modified in accordance with a set of rules. The supplier can be notified of an invalid line item in a purchase order and can correct the invalid line item either before or after the purchase order is received by the supplier. Corrections performed by the supplier can be used to add to the set of rules to be used to process succeeding purchase orders. An electronic catalog of the buyer can be updated after buyer review to correct erroneous part numbers and other related information from various sources.

A web based payment card software application for an expenditure accounting management automation system that provides a plurality of event code identifiers for processing, reporting and recording expenditure spending related to transaction data activity, including a one of a plurality of expenditure identifiers associated with line item transaction data comprising multiple line items of products and/or expenditure identifiers. A method and apparatus for pre-processing electronic data requests within the EDI subsystem layer and within the order fulfillment application system. An order interceptor, third-party Available To Promise (ATP) interface, pseudo-sales order workbench, and the reject acknowledgment system processes are provided within the order fulfillment application system to accomplish the pre-processing. The order interceptor performs an asynchronous availability check before a sales order is posted. The result of the ATP check is stored in an ESO, and is applied during the posting process with unique user exits. The result of the ATP check is also used to determine key information about the sales order, such as the sales organization, and division and distribution channels. The pre-processor uses business rules to determine if the ESO should be split into multiple documents for requests satisfied across multiple sales areas. The Workbench provides a customer purchase order view of the ESO that looks, feels and behaves like actual order entry screens. The Workbench also displays messages generated from the pre-processor describing why the ESO was held for review. After the condition is corrected the Workbench re-executes the ESO pre-processor. This continues until all messages are corrected or marked reviewed. The supplier can decide to either accept the request, reject the request or accept individual line items.

The present invention provides a system and method to enable a third party service provider of EIPP services to initiate authorization and settlement of payment card payments with invoice line item data, on behalf of either Buyer/Payers or Supplier/Payees to credit card acquirers and/or transaction processors. Specifically, one embodiment of the present invention interprets the “gesture” of swiping the pen horizontally across a line-item of a record entry as a command to highlight the line-item and to select the entire record. Furthermore, a contiguous group of multiple records are highlighted and selected by selecting the first record, as above, and then continuing to swipe the pen vertically through the records, in accordance with another embodiment. A system and method for processing a transaction in connection with a loyalty rewards program comprising identifying at least one individual associated with said transaction, communicating associated information to a processing component that includes rules and logic associated with said loyalty rewards program, determining an eligible amount associated with said transaction for at least one promotion, determining at least one reward based on said eligible amount and said at least one promotion, and storing detailed, comprehensive, line item information associated with the transaction. Said system and method may further comprise determining an owed amount associated with at least one loyalty provider based on said rules and logic and charging said at least one loyalty provider for said owed amount. Such a system will facilitate marketing strategies, processing of returns, and management of cross-promotional arrangements, and will enable merchants to develop, implement, and manage complex loyalty rewards programs.

A method and structure for a set of rules processed by combining a procedural rule engine and a pattern matching inference engine to compute and apply discounts to customer orders in an electronic commerce system. The rule processing occurs in multiple phases. First all applicable discounts are computed. Then all allowable subsets of discounts are computed. Finally, a set of discounts is selected, based on business policies, and the discounts are applied to the order line items.

Techniques to facilitate the creation of contracts and to automatically instantiate entitlements into contracts. A number of entitlement templates may be created for various entitlements. Each entitlement template is typically defined to include certain specifically defined entitlements. The entitlement templates may further be associated with products. A contract may thereafter be formed having any number of line items for one or more products and/or assets. Upon execution of the contract, an agreement is formed and the entitlements (if any) for each product/asset included in the contract may be instantiated (e.g., via a button on a screen).
