The sweetsop lactone extract is an anticancer active ingredient obtained after extraction and separation of sweetsop seeds. The extraction method comprises the following steps: firstly, organic solvents such as ethanol, petroleum ether, chloroform, and so on are used for extracting sweetsop lactone from coarse powder of the sweetsop seeds; and secondly, the sweetsop lactone is subjected to silica gel column chromatography, chloroform-methanol elutioin, petroleum ether-ethyl acetate elution and ethyl acetate-metanol elution to obtain the sweetsop lactone extract of which the content is between 50 and 90 percent of mass percent.
