Embodiment 1

[0032]Mix 100 grams of epoxy resin prepolymer (Sinopec Asset Management Co., Ltd. Baling Petrochemical Branch, CYD-128) with 25 grams of fully vulcanized nitrile powder rubber particles (Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, VP401, gel content 91 %, average particle size 100nm) mixed, and ground three times with a three-roll mill to make a mixture of epoxy resin prepolymer and fully vulcanized nitrile powder rubber particles. Then put 75 grams of the ground mixture and curing agent methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride (Guangdong Shengshida Science and Trade Co., Ltd.) into a three-necked bottle, stir and vacuumize at 90°C for 30 minutes, and then pour the mixture until it has been preheated. Pre-cure at 110°C for 2 hours in a polytetrafluoroethylene mold at 110°C, then raise the temperature to 130°C and cure for 12 hours to obtain a cured product, which is cut by a milling machine and tested for various properties. The test results are shown in Table 1.

Abstract

The invention relates to an epoxy resin composition and preparation thereof. The composition comprises the following blended components : 100 weight parts of epoxy resins; 30 to 120 weight parts of anhydride curing agents; 1 to 45 weight parts of powdery nitrile rubbers; no curing accelerator is included in the composition. The composition of the invention has both higher heat resistance and higher toughness, and is suitable for the fields which require high heat resistance, such as circuit board, electronics packaging, binder and electrical insulating coating etc..
