Microencapsulated formulations of macrolide lactones (abamectin, milbemectin, milbemycins emamectin, avermectins, ivermectins) wherein the active ingredient is protected from UV-degradation, with exceptional release characteristics resembling those of an emulsion concentrate or, if desired, of long-lasting effect; further with appropriate rheological properties, and with reduced toxicity.
