The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing dried poly(butylene succinate), dried poly(butylene adipate-terephthalate), filler and lubricant; performing melt blending through a double screw extruder; and granulating. The prepared composite material for a poly(butylene succinate) degradable film has the characteristics of simple preparation process, low raw material cost, excellent mechanical property and biodegradability; the production cost is lowered; and the environmental requirements are met.
