The method for manufacturing the two-section type ceramic metal halide lamp electric arc tube comprises the following steps: (1) uniformly mixing magnesium oxide powder, alumina powder, rare earth oxide powder and a binder containing a water soluble organic matter into a mixture at the temperature of 130-150 DEG C; (2) preparing the mixture into a blank in a half electric arc tube shape by adopting a ceramic powder injection forming technology; (3) taking two blanks in the half electric arc tube shape, binding the two blanks each other under the action of vapour, and maintaining a certain pressure, so that the two blanks are connected into a whole, namely a blank overall; (4) heating the blank overall, so as to remove the organic matter in the blank overall; (5) preserving heat of the blank overall after the organic matter is removed for 1.5-2.5 hours at the temperature of 900-1100 DEG C, thus a pre-sintered electric arc tube is obtained; (6) sintering the pre-sintered electric arc tube, thus the ceramic metal halide lamp electric arc tube is obtained.
