Effective ingredients of the chitosan mouthwash comprise chitosan, natamycin, polylysine and aspartame, and the chitosan mouthwash also comprises mint oil, a lemon essence and purified water. The preparation method comprises the steps: taking purified water, adding chitosan, natamycin, polylysine and aspartame according to the amount, and heating to dissolve; after being cooled, adding the essence and the mint oil, additionally adding purified water to full amount of the mouthwash, determining the pH value, and thus obtaining the product. Compared with the prior art, because two broad-spectrum antibacterial agents of polylysine and natamycin are added into chitosan, the prepared mouthwash fully plays the advantages of the three kinds of drugs respectively in a bacteriostatic aspect.
