Abstract

The invention provides preparation of a glassy carbon electrode modified by gold nanoparticles wrapped with ionic liquid and detection on cholesterol by the glassy carbon electrode. The preparation method comprises the following steps: at first, performing in-situ reduction on chloroauric acid by using sodium borohydride in an ionic liquid two-phase system to obtain gold nanoparticles wrapped with the ionic liquid; then, directly fixing cholesterol oxidase (ChOx) on a gold nanoparticle composite material wrapped with the ionic liquid; and finally, dropwise coating the surface of the glassy carbon electrode with the compounded composite material to form a modified glassy carbon electrode. The modified glassy carbon electrode has good electrochemical response to cholesterol and can be used for directly detecting cholesterol. The detection on cholesterol by the prepared glassy carbon electrode has the characteristics of wide linear range and low detection limitation.
