Abstract

The invention discloses a gold-containing liquid crystal as an anti-oxidation active composition of skin-care products and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method for the liquid crystal comprises: mixing a biosurfactant and a gold microplate hydrosol to prepare a liquid crystal system, further preparing the anti-oxidation active composition which can be added into skin-care products to give play to anti-oxidation anti-aging effects. The active composition is substantial in anti-oxidation activity, and under the condition of extremely low gold microplate content, the clearance rates on hydroxy free radical, superoxide anion and hydrogen peroxide free radical are all higher than the clearance rate on the three free radicals of flavonoid substances reported in literatures. Additionally, the active composition is nontoxic and simple in composition, and the preparation method is simple, practicable and mild in conditions.
