Abstract

The invention relates to a compound diatomite flocculating agent and a preparation method thereof. The compound diatomite flocculating agent is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 9 parts of iron concentrate, 6 parts of 90% of concentrated sulfuric acid and 35 parts of diatomite with water content of 50%. The preparation method comprises the following steps: fully mixing the iron concentrate and the concentrated sulfuric acid according to the percentages, and completely stirring at room temperature for 1hr so that the materials are fully reacted; adding the reacted materials and diatomite to a kneading machine at the weight ratio of 3 to 7, and stirring for 1hr so that the diatomite is fully mixed and reacted with the mixture of iron concentrate and sulfuric acid and the materials are activated; gradually heating the activated product in a dryer to about 500 DEG C, drying and heating for 10min so that the water content of the material is reduced to be less than 30%, stopping heating and gradually cooling to normal temperature; adding the cooled material to a winnowing device, processing the material sequentially by virtue of a windmill classifier, a cyclone separator and a pulse dust collector and grinding the to qualified grain size which is less than 100 meshes; and packaging the material.
