Abstract

The invention provides an apparatus for detecting cadmium ions in water. The apparatus comprises a molecular wire / tin film modified sensor, an electrolysis cell, an electrochemical workstation and a computer, wherein the working electrode of the molecular wire / tin film modified sensor comprises an electrode tube and a carbon paste electrode substrate, one end of the carbon paste electrode substrate is firmly coated with a tin-film modified layer by an in-situ coating method, and the carbon paste electrode substrate comprises carbon powder and a molecular wire. The apparatus has high detectionsensitivity, good conductivity and simple structure and poses no harm to environment and human beings. The invention also provides a method for detecting cadmium ions in water. According to the method, the carbon paste electrode is used as the working electrode, a silver / silver chloride electrode is used as a reference electrode, and a platinum electrode is used as a counter electrode; one end ofeach of the three electrodes is immersed in a solution, and the other ends of the three electrodes are separately connected with the electrochemical workstation through wires; and square wave anodic stripping voltammetry is employed for measuring the concentration of cadmium ions in water.
