[0018] In 2018, cases of sudden cattle death occurred in many places in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. After we investigated the infectious diseases such as anthrax bacillosis and foot-and-mouth disease virus disease in two of the dead cattle, we conducted bacterial culture on their blood and found that there were colonies growing. The growing bacteria were isolated and identified, and finally identified as Bacillus cereus. Before this, there was no relevant report on the death of cattle infected by this bacterium, so its biological identification was carried out.
[0019] The strain was initially cultured in ordinary agar medium at 37°C for 48 hours, and there were wax drop-like colonies with a red center and an off-white periphery and irregular periphery. Microscopic examination shows that both ends of the bacterium are flat, the size is about 1.0×6.0um, and most of them are arranged in long chains, which is a Gram-positive bacterium ( figure 1 ).
