Abstract

The present invention puts forward an one-step cooling condensation and separation process of preparing dimethyl ether from synthetic feed gas. The process includes synthesis of dimethyl ether, separation of idemthyl ether from synthetic gas, and fractionation to obtain dimethyl ether product. The process features that synthetic gas is first cooled and condensed to below -20 deg.C and to separate dimethyl ether from the synthetic gas, the cooled and condensed tail gas is pressurised for circular utilization and the cooled and condensed product is rectified to produce dimethyl ether product with concentration over 99.5 wt.%. Before cooling and condensation, brine or methanol as antifreezer is added to the material to prevent freezing. During the rectification, gases dissolved in the solution is first separated before dimethyl ether product is separated and purified. The present invention has simplified process and lowered power consumption.
