The invention relates to the technical field of environmental pollutant detection, in particular to a method for detecting dichromate based on surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, which comprises the following steps: preparing a noble metal nano material with the surface modified with a specific recognition ligand as an SERS probe, and enabling the ligand and dichromate ions to generate specific coordination or redox reaction; after a to-be-detected water sample and the SERS probe are mixed and incubated, a surface enhanced Raman spectrum is collected; and qualitative and quantitative detection of dichromate ions in a water sample to be detected is realized by analyzing the intensity change or peak displacement of a specific recognition ligand characteristic peak in a spectrum. According to the method, a signal modulation indirect detection strategy is adopted, a target object is represented by monitoring regular changes of reporter molecule signals, the problems that the affinity of dichromate ions and a substrate is weak and direct detection signals are not sensitive are solved, and the method has the advantages of being high in sensitivity, good in selectivity, high in anti-interference capacity, easy, convenient and rapid to operate and the like; the method is suitable for on-site rapid screening of trace hexavalent chromium in an environmental water body.
