Ink-jet recording method and recording medium used therein

An ink-jet recording method for performing recording on a recording medium by attaching ink thereto with the recording medium adhering to a conveyor belt because of electrostatic attraction thereto is disclosed. In this method, the electrostatic attraction is caused by a charging unit that applies AC bias to the conveyor belt so that positive and negative charges are provided on the conveyor belt so as to alternate with each other in a direction in which the conveyor belt moves. The surface of the recording medium which surface comes into contact with the conveyor belt has surface resistivity that falls within a range of 1 to 9.

Disposable Divided Bowls

Social awareness about health, to include eating habits is rising in understanding and importance. Despite awareness about portion size and emphasizing, deemphasizing, or balancing calories, fats, salt, sugars, and other food components; there is still interest in food choice. One approach to variety with health consideration is to sample favorite foods or foods of interest rather than limiting one's selection and feeling obligated to consume fuller portion sizes. Sampling of solid foods is more easily done with a typical or even divided disposable plate. However, sampling liquid based foods is more difficult. One can do so by using multiple bowls, cups, or even reverting to sharing but these options are hard to carry and sharing with others than a close loved one is not advised. The MultiBowl of this disclosure provides a solution by forming one or more partitions into a typical individual use food bowl to divide the single serving well into two or more serving wells. Although possible, the MultiBowl is not intended to replace a formal table setting, but is ideal for banquets, picnics, get-togethers, parties, snacking, and other such events where stackability at a point of service and easy clean up with disposability are useful. It also becomes immediately useful for crafts, hobbies, sorting, repairs at home or work, and other times when multiple containers can be substituted with the MultiBowl. The MultiBowl provides solution for simplicity with multiple service wells, expected affordability, multiple availability from stackability, and temporary durability with disposability.

Height adjustable transport container

A transport container system includes a stackable crate having a bottom element and four side wall elements which are of a dimensionally and pressure stable structure. Each of the side wall elements has a foldable attachment element connected to it. When folded up, the attachment elements of the four side wall elements will form an attachment which will increase the volumetric capacity of the crates. The attachment elements will each bear on an upper side of the respective side wall element and be retained in the folded-up position by guides provided on the side wall elements. When folded down, the respective attachment elements can be integrated into the respective side wall element in such a manner that the attachment elements at least will not protrude substantially over the thickness of the side wall elements.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus a recording head that performs recording by ejecting liquid on a recording medium; an output unit that outputs the recording medium on which the recording was performed by the recording head; an output tray that receives, from below, the recording medium output from the output unit in an output direction; a pressing member that is configured to be displaced in an up-down direction and that presses the recording medium toward the output tray by displacement of the pressing member from an upper side to a lower side with respect to the recording medium output from the outputunit; and a restricting member configured to be advanced in an advance direction and configured to be retracted in a retract direction. The restricting member restricts deformation of an upstream endportion in the output direction of the recording medium pressed by the pressing member, at a position at which the restricting member is advanced in the advance direction. The pressing member is displaced upward in a state in which the restricting member restricts the deformation of the upstream end portion.

A sheet sorting apparatus includes a first tray detachable from an apparatus main body, a second tray arranged below the first tray, a discharge unit to discharge a sheet to the first or second tray, a tray detecting unit to detect that the first tray is detached from the apparatus main body, a full stack detecting unit to detect a fully stacked condition of the first tray, and a control unit to control the discharge unit. In a case where the tray detecting unit detects that the first tray is detached from the apparatus main body, the control unit controls the discharge unit not to discharge a sheet to the second tray when a number of sheets discharged to the second tray reaches a threshold number of sheets, even though the full stack detecting unit does not detect the fully stacked condition.

Rolling bearing seal with an elastomer-based preseal

InactiveUS20120321235A1Reduce outlay in production termReduce material costsEngine sealsBall bearingsElastomerRolling-element bearing
A seal arrangement, in particular a cartridge seal, which has a carrier ring that is fastenable to a first bearing ring and a cover ring that is movable in relation to the carrier ring and fastenable to a second bearing ring. The carrier ring carries an elastic part which forms at least one sealing lip that makes sliding sealing contact with the cover ring. The elastic part forms an overhang arranged axially on a radially running portion of the carrier ring, and the overhang radially covers a radial end piece of the cover ring at least partially. The overhang consequently assumes the sealing function of the carrier ring so that the carrier ring can form a sealing gap with the cover ring. The elastic part has to be attached on only one axial side of the carrier ring and thus the fastening region of the carrier ring can be made smaller.
