The invention discloses an insecticidal composition containing epoxy insect pyridine and organic phosphorus insecticide. The organic phosphorus insecticide is selected from chlorpyrifos, triazophos and panaplate; and the weight ratio of the epoxy insect pyridine to the organic phosphorus insecticide is 1:60 to 60:1. The composition can be prepared into agriculturally allowed formulations such as water dispersible granules, wettable powder, suspending agents, dispersible oil suspending agents, microcapsule suspensions, missible oil or microemulsion. The insecticidal composition has reasonable components, a good insecticidal effect and low pesticide using cost; the activity and the insecticidal effect of the composition are not the simple superposition of the activity of each component; compared with a conventional single preparation, the composition has remarkable synergy besides a remarkable insecticidal effect, slows the generation of resistance, has low preparation residual amount, high safety and no pollution to crops, and meets the requirement for the safety of a pesticide preparation. The composition has good prevention and control effects on pests such as wheat aphids, cotton bollworms, phyllotreta striolata, cnaphalocrocis medinalis, rice planthoppers and the like.
