The application method comprises the steps of; directly transplanting cultivated pennisetum plant Jujun grass seedlings with the heights of 10-13cm in heavy metal cadmium-polluted soil every spring, wherein the plant spacing is 25cm and the row spacing is 30cm; applying a base fertilizer, wherein the base fertilizer amount per mu is as follows: 10-12kg of pure nitrogen, 7-8kg of phosphorus pentoxide and 7-7.5kg of potassium oxide; watering in the plant cultivation period and topdressing every 60 days due to the demand of growing o f the large Jujun grass in the later period, wherein the watering amount is 7-8.5kg per mu and the topdressing amount is 4-5kg of the pure nitrogen per mu; and after the Jujun grass grows for 100-150 days, harvesting the overground part of the Jujun grass and leaving the root of the Jujun grass for sprouting.
