The preparation method comprises the following steps: performing extraction by taking an ethanol aqueous solution as an extraction solvent to prepare total extract of the common bletilla pseudobulb; concentrating the total extract of the common bletilla pseudobulb until no alcohol smell exists; performing macroporous resin column chromatography; eluting with water until effluent liquor is free of reducing sugar through detection, and eluting with the ethanol aqueous solution with the mass concentration of 50-90% to obtain the effective ingredient of the common bletilla pseudobulb. The effective ingredient has the benefits that through determination of blood coagulation time in vitro for a domestic rabbit, the obtained effective ingredient is relatively good in hemostatic effect and can be applied to treatment of various hemorrhagic diseases in vivo and in vitro.
