Abstract

The invention provides a sterilizing and disinfecting agent being composed of: bicyanamide, ammonium chloride, 1,6-diamidohexane, a catalyst and water. The sterilizing and disinfecting agent is prepared through following processes: (1) performing a melt reaction to the bicyanamide and the ammonium chloride at 170-230 DEG C to obtain guanidine hydrochloride; (2) feeding the guanidine hydrochloride and the 1,6-diamidohexane into a reaction kettle according to the ratio of 1:1 and heating the guanidine hydrochloride and the 1,6-diamidohexane until the reactants are completely dissolved and fully mixed; (3) increasing the temperature to 120-200 DEG C with addition of the catalyst and performing a reaction for 2-3 h until no ammonia gas is discharged from the reaction kettle; (4) when the temperature of the reactants is decreased to 80 DEG C, adding a proper amount of water to finish the reaction for obtain an aqueous solution of poly-hexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride.
