[0243] A reaction mixture of TIA, phosphoric acid (85% concentration in water) and TEAOH solution (40% concentration in water) was prepared in a teflon vessel. A corresponding amount of Al source and Si source are respectively added into the solution. The slurry was mixed at room temperature for about 30 minutes until homogeneous. Then, the polytetrafluoroethylene container was placed in a stainless steel autoclave. The autoclave is maintained at temperature. After cooling to room temperature, samples were removed, washed and dried. Separation of the solid and liquid phases after synthesis is performed by centrifugation. The isolated solid was dried overnight at 110°C and calcined at 600°C for 10 hours in a stream of air. The ratios and operating conditions are in the table below. This procedure was applied to all examples.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a process to make light olefins from an oxygen-containing, halogenide-containing or sulphur-containing organic feedstock comprising: contacting said oxygen-containing, halogenide-containing or sulphur-containing organic feedstock in a primary reactor with a catalyst made of a metalloaluminophosphate (MeAPO) molecular sieve with lamellar crystal morphology at conditions effective to convert at least a portion of the feedstock to form a first reactor effluent comprising light olefins and a heavy hydrocarbon fraction; separating said light olefins from said heavy hydrocarbon fraction; contacting said heavy hydrocarbon fraction in a second reactor at conditions effective to convert at least a portion of said heavy hydrocarbon fraction to light olefins; wherein said MeAPO either has an empirical chemical composition on an anhydrous basis, after synthesis and calcination, expressed by the formula H<x>Me<y>Al<z>P<k>O<2> in which, y+z+k=1, x<=y, y has a value ranging from 0.0008 to 0.4 and advantageously from 0.005 to 0.18; z has a value ranging from 0.25 to 0.67 and advantageously from 0.38 to 0.55; k has a value ranging from 0.2 to 0.67 and advantageously from 0.36 to 0.54 said molecular sieve having predominantly a plate crystal morphology in which the width (W) and the thickness (T) are such as: W / T is >= 10.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional case of a Chinese invention patent application with the application number 200880015307.1, the application date is March 10, 2008, and the invention title is "The combination of methanol conversion to olefins process and olefin cracking process based on metal aluminum phosphate molecular sieve to produce olefins" Apply. technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a MeAPO molecular sieve based MTO (Methanol to Olefins) process combined with an OCP (Olefins Cracking Process) process to produce olefins. More precisely, the MTO process is based on metalloaluminophosphate (MeAPO) molecular sieve catalysts with layered crystal morphology. The limited supply and rising cost of crude oil has spurred research into alternative methods for producing hydrocarbon products. One such method is the conversion of methanol to hydrocarbons and especially to light olefins. The focus on methanol-to-olefins (MTO) processes is based on the fact...
