The method comprises steps as follows: yttrium nitrate hexahydrate used as a raw material and ammonium fluoride used as a fluorine source are subjected to a hydrothermal reaction at 180 DEG C for 24 h, nano yttrium fluoride is prepared and then annealed at 700 DEG C, and tubular nano fluorine yttrium oxide powder is obtained; then the nano fluorine yttrium oxide powder is used as a raw material and subjected to grinding, dry-pressing molding under 50 Mpa and pressureless sintering at 1,450 DEG C for 20 h in an air atmosphere, and the yttrium oxide transparent ceramic is obtained.
