Abstract

The hydrophobic associated acrylamide polymer emulsion and the preparation method thereof in the invention mainly overcome the problems that conventional hydrophobic associated polymers are prepared through micelle or aqueous solution polymerization, equipment and processes used in the prior art are lengthy, complicated and high in energy consumption, and difficulties exist in on-site application of the conventional hydrophobic associated polymers to oil displacement in oil fields, especially in oil displacement of offshore oil reservoirs. According to the invention, a reversed-phase emulsion polymerization method is employed, and a commercial nonionic surfactant is used as an emulsifier in an oil-water system; and the hydrophobic associated polymer emulsion with high solid content is obtained by controlling the feeding speed of an initiator and can be rapidly dispersed in water, which facilitates on-site on-line injection of the emulsion for oil displacement. The hydrophobic associated acrylamide polymer emulsion comprises, by weight, 10 to 50 parts of an oil phase, 1 to 10 parts of an emulsifier and a co-emulsifier and 40 to 80 parts of a water phase containing copolymerization monomers. The hydrophobic associated acrylamide polymer emulsion provided by the invention overcomes the above problems and is suitable for on-site application to continental or marine oil displacement or the like for improvement of recovery efficiency.
