Abstract

The invention discloses an aging-resisting composition. The aging-resisting composition is prepared from a plant extract which is at least one of a sweet potato root extract, a radix achyranthis bidentatae extract and a sesame extract. The plant extract has the advantages that the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase can be enhanced, the antioxidant ability of the skin is enhanced,and the expression level of main functional subunit gp91phox of NADPH is reduced; in addition, the activity of the SOD is improved, and further the formation of free radicals is reduced; DPPH free radicals, superoxide free radicals and hydroxy free radicals are removed, and the damage of the free radicals to the skin is reduced, so that skin aging is delayed.
