Abstract

The invention relates to a UV-curable water-based epoxy acrylic resin coating and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: (1) mixing epoxy resin and a polymerization inhibitor, performing heating to the temperature of 70-90 DEG C under slow stirring, then adding a mixed liquid of acrylic resin and a catalyst dropwise for 0.5-1h, raising the temperature to be 75-85 DEG C, measuring the acid value of the system, and when the pH value achieves 2-4, finishing a reaction to obtain epoxy acrylic resin; (2) adding a catalyst into the epoxy acrylic resin obtained in thestep (1), performing stirring fully and uniformly, adding maleic anhydride, and performing heating to the reaction temperature of 75-85 DEG C under slow stirring to obtain modified epoxy acrylic resin; and (3) under stirring with a moderate speed at a room temperature, slowly adding a neutralizing agent, water and a water-based photoinitiator into the modified epoxy acrylate oligomer for a salt forming reaction, and performing neutralization until the pH is 7-8 to obtain the UV-curable water-based epoxy acrylic resin coating product. Compared with the prior art, the coating provided by the invention has the advantages that the coating film has excellent water resistance, alkali resistance and acid resistance.
