Abstract

The invention relates to a non-noble metal oxygen evolution reaction catalyst and a preparation method thereof. The non-noble metal oxygen evolution reaction catalyst is cobalt-doped Cu7S4 nanosheet;cobalt is doped into Cu7S4 nanosheet crystal, and the doping amount is 3.5-14% of the total molar amount of Cu and Co in the non-noble metal oxygen evolution reaction catalyst. Because of doping of acertain amount of cobalt on the basis of the Cu7S4 crystal, an electrochemically catalyzed active center structure is regulated and electron transfer between Cu and Co active sites is enhanced, so that an energy barrier for conversion of the catalyst to an intermediate product thereof is reduced; namely, a phase transition caused by Co doping reduces energy required for electron escape, the kinetic process of Cu7S4 in an oxygen evolution reaction is improved, and the purpose of improving the catalytic performance is achieved.
