Abstract

The invention discloses a functional red yeast rice liposome containing lovastatin and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method includes: 1) dissolving functional red yeast rice liposome containing lovastatin, phospholipid and cholesterol with a non-toxic organic solvent to obtain a mixed solution; 2) removing the non-toxic organic solvent from the mixed solution till forming a layer of uniform film; 3) conducting hydration to obtain a liposome suspension; and 4) subjecting the liposome suspension to ultrasound and filtration treatment so as to obtain the functional red yeast riceliposome containing lovastatin. Directed at the problems of poor water solubility, low oral taking absorption rate, short elimination half-life in vivo and low bioavailability in existing functional red yeast rice liposome products rich in lovastatin, the prepared functional red yeast rice liposome containing lovastatin can reduce the loss of lovastatin in gastric juice, and at the same time increases the digestion of lovastatin in intestinal juice, thereby significantly increasing the bioavailability of lovastatin in functional red yeast rice.
