Abstract

The present invention adopts solid state reaction method (SSR) combined with discharge plasma (SPS) sintering process to prepare, uses Ge powder, S powder and doping element A as raw material, and described A is Se or Te, according to the general chemical formula GeS 1‑x A x (0≤x≤0.05) for proportioning, using low-temperature solid-state reaction to prepare precursor powder with uniform composition, and then combining with spark plasma (SPS) sintering process to prepare polycrystalline GeS-based thermoelectric material block. The polycrystalline GeS thermoelectric material prepared by the present invention has a power factor of 0.02-4 μWm along the vertical SPS pressure direction ‑ 1 K ‑2 , the thermal conductivity is 1.3‑2.5Wm ‑1 K ‑1 . The power factor in the direction of parallel SPS pressure is 0.01‑2μWm ‑1 K ‑2 , the thermal conductivity is 0.5‑1.5Wm ‑1 K ‑1 . The preparation of polycrystalline GeS bulk thermoelectric materials by solid-state reaction method combined with SPS method has the characteristics of simple process, easy operation, low requirements on equipment and preparation environment, and low sintering temperature. The prepared polycrystalline GeS thermoelectric materials may be widely used in the fields of thermoelectric power generation and thermoelectric refrigeration.
