Abstract

The substituents include-H,-X,-OH, = O,-C = OR,-OR,-COOR,-CONHR, a chromophore, a fluorophore, a spatial molecule, a polymer, an oligomer, a surface, or a combination thereof. The aluminum sensing molecules have strong affinity and strong selectivity to aluminum ions. The analyte aluminum ion species include free Al3 +, or Al (OH) 2 +, Al (OH) 2 +, Al (OH) 3, Al (OH) 4-, Al (III) coordination compounds, and mixtures thereof. The analysis medium comprises an aqueous solution, a solvent, a biological fluid and a mixture thereof.
